Before I was a Christian I would use the Salem Witch Trial as something to attack Christians with. After the Lord had mercy on me and I became a Christian I then studied objectively what happened. It seems to me that it was a situation that got out of control. It was more local politics than actual witchcraft that lead to the burnings, pressings, and hangings. I was in an unevenly yoked relationship with a practicing wiccan. It is a growing religion there is still a lot of hard feelings in this group toward the "Burning Times". I have found that the best way to witness to wiccans is to humbly admit that it was unChristlike behavior and build up trust then take them to Romans Chapter 1. But the sad thing is that the current Witchiness of Salem is like the UFO theme at Roswell, New Mexico. I have repented for the relationship and did in fact witness to the witch after I broke up with her. God had lead me along since.
God bless you all,
Aaron
