The Deeper Faith is a book written by the Rev. Gordon Girod as an exposition of the "Canons of Dordt". It consists of six chapters with the following titles:
  • Unconditional Election
  • Limited Atonement
  • Total Depravity
  • Irresistible Grace
  • Perseverance of the Saints
  • Is it a Terrible Faith?

As you can clearly see, each chapter deals with what has come to be known as the "Five Points of Calvinism", but in the order in which they originally appeared in the original Remonstrants and in Synod of Dordt's response, aka: The Canons of Dort. The last chapter "Is it a Terrible Faith" is a synopsis and application of the previous five chapters and was featured as the "Article of the Month" in January, 2005.

The author's approach in dealing with each of these headings is quite refreshing and I think you will find rather appealing in its uniqueness compared to the typical approach, since they are expository in nature.

You can access the book here: The Deeper Faith

For later reading you can find the book in "Calvinism and the Reformed Faith" and in the "General Articles" section there.

In His service and grace,
