I have a general understanding of the term, 'means of Grace', but really - what is it and what is it not? My understanding is that when we speak of 'means of grace' we are talking about the ordinary ways that God works; not anything to do with infusion. I've been hearing some who advocate paedocommunion and similar positions talk about 'getting grace' or 'chasing grace'. Unless I am completely wrong in my understanding on what 'means of grace' is really about, we cannot earn any part of God's favor.
Terms, such as 'means of grace', appear to be too ambigious in today's language and cause unnecessary confusion. It is easy to go on a tangent with the wording. I have always struggle with the term because 'means of' and 'grace' seem against one another, not complementary.
