As we start off the new year, I thought it would be interesting to explore a topic that isnít considered as thoroughly as it ought to beóa true understanding of manís miserable estate. Last month, in the TULIP article by John Gerstner, the topic of the total depravity of man was covered in Gerstner's examination of the five points of Calvinism. In this article, Christopher Love delves into the miserable nature of man and what that means.

Quote:
I will show you the eight particular properties of a man without Christ.
Every man without Jesus Christ is a base man.
He is a bondman.
He is a beggarly man.
He is a blind man.
He is a deformed man.
He is a disconsolate man.
He is a dead man; and
He is a damned man.
