A Work Colleagues' New Book
I have a work colleague that has recently had his Christian testimony published in book form. On the off chance that management might allow him to put up a poster he asked management. They were sympathetic, but turned him down because of the word "God" was in the poster. He asked if he took the word "God" out of the poster, if it would make a difference. They said no, mainly because they knew it was a religious book.
I told him that if it was my book I was advertizing I couldn't in good conscience take the word "God" off the poster, mainly because God is the only reason that I am a Christian and therefore the book is more about the transforming work of the Gospel.
He looked at me like I was really strange and told me that he could care less if the poster had the word "God" in it if it got people to read the book, where the Gospel is clearly presented.
Thoughts?
