This month's article presents a look at what Mr. De Graaf calls "Two Covenants". The first is the "Covenant of Favor", which is the relationship established by God with man prior to the Fall. Historically, this has been known as the "Covenant of Works", which De Graaf doesn't reject by any means, but he would like to focus upon an important aspect of that covenant. The second is the "Covenant of Grace", which is the relationship established by God, first with Christ and then consequently with man, after the Fall. Technically, the covenant established between the Father and Son is known as the "Covenant of Peace" or the "Covenant of Redemption" and which is eternal. But the God-man was included as one of the objects of that covenant when it was applied.
This is very interesting reading and should increase your understanding of God's marvelous love and grace in Christ.
