Other people are stubborn, but I have strong convictions. ‘You may not be prepared to admit the truth of the above, but it is often our attitude when someone differs from us. I am sure you have met some stubborn people, and I hope you have been fortunate enough to meet some good men of strong convictions. The obvious problem is ‘How do I know when I am being stubborn or when I am being strong in a right conviction?’ How does one know the difference?
Due to the predominate pressure of many individuals and groups crying out for believers to be "tolerant" of each other who have differing views on doctrine and/or practice I thought this to be a timely article. The title of the article and the short introduction should be self-explanatory.

However, it probably wouldn't hurt to repeat the obvious... There are some who are always agreeable and there are those who are obsessively disagreeable, both of which are less than what Christ calls us to be. What is the teaching of Scripture in regard how we are to conduct ourselves when it comes to the matter of holding to convictions? I am NOT speaking about holding to an opinion which is decidedly a totally different thing. Opinions change for various reasons, sometimes rather quickly; good and bad. What Reisinger is addressing is the matter of truth; biblical truth and how one is to think of it and apply it in regard to others.
This is one of those "short and to the point" type articles that hopefully will evoke serious thought and prayer.
