I am involved in a study of the 1689 LBC at my church. While reading ahead for next weeks lesson, chapter 14(saving faith), I ran across the mention of "temporary believers",14.3. I follow the reasoning that saving faith is different in kind and nature but fail to understand what is meant by "temporary believers". Can someone help?

You might want to take another look at Matthew 13; the parable of the Sower, which I think will answer your question about "temporary believers".
