As someone who holds to a 6 literal 24 hour day creation, I don't understand how any Christian could believe in theistic evolution.<br>Yet even some Calvinists, who on almost every other topic, do not think that theistic evolution is incompatible with the Bible.<br>In fact one such person said something to the effect that she sees theistic evolution as one such possible truth, but in the end it doesn’t matter, God created it.<br><br>Would I be correct to say that if theistic evolution was true, then we can basically say nobody can be sure that their interpretation on any Bible passage is correct?<br><br>Please explain your answers.<br><br>Tom

Can we really be sure that our interpretation of the Bible is correct anyway? Tom,<br><br>The very term “theistic evolution” denies the Biblical account of the creation. It is a compromise between naturalism and creationism or worse yet science and theology. Either God was finished with creation on the seventh day or He was not. And, I personally would include the record of creation here too. Doubtless, we all are embracing some erroneous interpretation of Scripture of something. But that doesn't mean: 1) We are unable to know anything with certainty. 2) That truth isn't revealed and able to be known by those indwelt by the Spirit, Who is the Author of all Scripture.<br><br>There are two other errors which must also be avoided concerning truth vs. error. 1) We must not blindly accept "tradition" as being the bastion of truth, for men have erred always. I guess I was thinking more on the lines of some of the more "minor" details (for lack of a better word). The things that are not necessary for the salvation of the soul. Wes<br><br>Maybe I am reading you wrong, but when you said: "Who you gonna believe?"<br>Were you asking me that question, thinking that I believe anything but the Bible's discription of a 6 literal 24 hour day creation?<br><br>If that is the case, please be assured that I affirm the Bible account 100%.
