Hi Recently while in a conversation with a friend who I haven't seen for quite some time; he asked if I knew anything about Dr. David Jeremiah. He told me that in his men's Bible study at his Church they will be starting a series by him. He told me if I find out anything about him, to please let him know. I did a Google search on him and found quite a bit about him endorsing a book by Emergent Church supporter Erwin McManus. The only thing about this is I am not sure if any of this information is accurate. For instance here is an example of what I found on Google. This is not the only one, but many of them quote that particular site as support for their accusations. Before I get back to my friend with anything of that nature, I don't want to be guilty of giving him false information. I would ask that if anyone knows anything about David Jeremiah that can be confirmed, please let me know. Thank you Tom

I do not "know" this man but I have heard his name mentioned by a few people in glowing terms. However, those extolling Jeremiah were, without question, unregenerate, so their accolades were hardly credible. From my own research, it appears that theologically, he is semi-Pelagian at best and definitely holds to some form of Dispensationalism. He further ranks among leading neo-evangelicals (ecumenical leanings and ecclectic/syncretistic). The fact that he is the pastor of a reknown "mega church" in southern California is enough to make one want to investigate this person further. Bible Discernment Ministries ( mention of this group is not a full endorsement of what they believe nor the verity of their reports!) did a report on David P. Jeremiah back in the late '90s and they had some grave concerns back then. Over the 14 years which have passed since their report, it doesn't appear that Jeremiah has deviated from his 'downward' trend which was criticized in the report. You can read their report HERE.
