“Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.”—Mark 5:19

Charles Haddon Spurgeon preached a Christmas sermon on this text on December 21, 1856. Instead of preaching on the Incarnation of the eternal Son of God, Spurgeon chose to preach to his congregation and now us who read that sermon, of the effects of that glorious day and all that followed the Lord's 3-year ministry. Let the world have its pagan ways but don't let it destroy the biblical and glorious announcement of the coming of God in the flesh to save His people from their sins and grant them eternal life in Him.
