Any body with a half a brain didn't take Alex Jones' rants as absolute truth. The denial of the reality and horror of Sandy Hook was unconscionable, IMO. But that a Connecticut court would find him guilty of lying and then sentence him to pay 1 billion dollars is not so surprising. Remember, in case you didn't know, it was a Connecticut judge who allowed the parents of Sandy Hook victims to sue Remington which also had devastating affects on The Freedom Group who owned not only Remington but also Marlin, Bushmaster, DPMS, H&R, L.C. Smith, Parker, Dakota Arms, Miller Arms, and Nesika. The lawsuit was actually illegal because it violated a long-standing law that protected firearms companies from litigation based upon the misuse of a firearm by individuals. That lawsuit resulted in a $78 million dollar settlement and the bankruptcy of The Freedom Group. Fortunately, some of the companies were bought out and are now operating under their original names or new names.
Now, if the old adage, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." was still recognized for what it meant, that justice is equal under the law, then all the mainstream media outlets would be subject to massive lawsuits and they would likewise be found guilty of alleged "mis/disinformation" which they have been peddling for decades. Trump, in fact, now has a lawsuit against CNN for deformation and disinformation due to the years of undeniable lies it put out in regard to the "Russia Hoax" along with myriad other serious lies and negative fabrications and attacks against him and his family. In the United States there is a serious "two-tier justice system" which is politically based. And, the brain-numbing truth is that it isn't just the media that is guilty of these crimes but also the FBI, CIA, ATF and other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Add to them are many of the Universities and Colleges which are teaching or allowing to be taught vicious lies about the country's history with the goal to eradicate the very Constitution it is founded upon. And, what about the article's mention of Pfizer which should have also mentioned Johnson & Johnson and Moderna and how about Anthony Fauci, Joe Biden and family, etc., etc., ad nauseam.
The Lord Christ's fiery accusation of the Pharisees certainly can be rightly applied to all such individuals: "John 8:44 (KJV) 44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
I think investigative journalists should be able to do what they do and be left alone. Their research and results should speak for themselves. We should be willing to take their evidence and presentation of facts and scrutinize it to the fullest. If they are frauds, their evidence will not be able to withstand scrutiny.
I don’t think Alex Jones should qualify as independent media. He’s more of an outrageous personality. Does he do any legitimate investigative journalism? I don’t believe he does.
True journalism should be free from bias, special interests/conflicts of interest (who funds it? who sponsors it?). This is pretty rare.
I’m not surprised by this development. If you know where they are going, you won’t be surprised by the events that get us there.
I’m not a fan and this is satire, but I wonder where this idea came from…

Very little of the facts are made available to the general public. All they get is the propaganda crap that the mainstream media spews out. And, many of what is actually factual news is banned or crushed. Can you say, "Banana Republic" 3 times really fast?

A friend and I were discussing this very thing today. We are both a little frustrated that with even some of our Christian friends and family, they dismiss links we give them on legitimate sites, such as 'Rebel News.'
They seem to dismiss things like this, simply because of the name of the news station 'Rebel News.'
In the last 6 months or so, I have been receiving e-mails from Max Bernier, who is the leader of the PPC (People's Party of Canada). Man oh man, the more I get from him, the more I like him. He is not a weak kneed politician, in fact he takes stands against Trudeau and as well as Woke and those who attack unvaccinated Canadians. This of course cost him a lot; but in the last year or so, his party has grown a lot. He himself is not vaccinated and believes that is something all Canadians should be able to make their own decision on, without fear of penalties.
Penalties such as not being able to fly (recently rescinded), not being able to see elderly parents in nursing homes. Also, not being able to enter countries such as the USA.
