Is there proof that the beliefs of Martin Luther were closer to John Calvin’s, than he is to modern day Lutherans?
Perhaps the actual writings of Martin Luther would go far to demonstrating that?
Remember, however, as it is with people claiming to be Calvinists (not lemming followers of the man) it is likewise true of those who profess to be Lutherans... there is a considerable difference among them regarding doctrine and life. Most, in either camp are far from Calvin and Luther in our day. Of course, more importantly, this disparity occurs universally in regard to those who profess to be Christians! (cf. Romans 9:27; 11:5)
