1) The author's description of the historical data of how socialism (Marxism) spread throughout Russia is factually what is currently happening in the U.S. The academic 'elite' are teaching that socialism is far superior to a democratic republic upon which the U.S. was founded. Of course, clearly history also shows that socialism has never worked, which the student lemmings are never taught. So, there is a definite similarity the spread of all forms of socialism and our current crisis in America.
2) However, the author's idea that there is a direct similarity between the 'guilt' that the Woke generation is beating upon the heads of whites (caucasians) and 'Original Sin' is utter nonsense, in fact, the two are antithetical. Here is the quote from his article:

I have to wonder if the author has any knowledge of what biblical Christianity actually is. And this isn't so far-fetched as many might conclude. For one would be hard pressed to find true biblical, historic Christianity being preached or taught in this country for the most part. But thankfully, by God's providence, He has reserved for Himself a remnant who hasn't yet bowed the kneel to Baal and who shall be preserved to the end by His infinite mercy and grace.
Addendum: The Leftists are the paradigm of hypocrisy, e.g., they who cry out and condemn all whites and America as a country for its 'systemic racism' are the ones who are obsessed with 'identity politics', which is pure racism. Joe Biden had no choice but to choose a black female as his vice-presidential running mate. Necessary qualifications of actually occupying such an office were never considered other than the color of one's skin and gender... and of course being a radical Leftist.
Barth was an influence on James Cone (father of black liberation theology) who was a wannabe intellectual and political activist. Their foundation is utterly faulty.....

I was able to access the article of Chris Hedges before you removed the link. When you write, "Their foundation is utterly faulty....", you are guilty of gross understatement. To me, it nothing short of blatant blaspheme and a total rejection of the divinely inspired written Word of God; as God purposed in both its content and use, i.e., to bring helpless, hopeless God-hating sinful men to redemption and reconciliation to Himself. But neither in Cone, Reinhold Niebuhr, Karl Barth, nor I dare say not one single professor who taught at the institutions he matriculated at knew anything about biblical Christianity. Cone simply swallowed hook, line and sinker of Liberal Theology and then regurgitated his own eisogetical fantasies to what he hated most, either real or imagined.
So, after suffering the laborious chore of reading through that tripe I wondered why you thought it would be of some value to have me/us read it? If nothing else, at least to this old man, what Cone, Martin Luther King, Jr. et al of the same ilk were lost in philosophically and religiously, what we see being loudly proclaimed in today's denunciation of straight white people and nearly everyone who is not a minority of some kind which is being used to justify mass destruction of property, looting and even murder is their mindless musings come to fruition. Is this what the Lord Christ taught and intended for His disciples? Is this the fruit of true regeneration of the soul and newness of life?
