I can't remember where but somewhere I read the following statistics:

Number of able bodied people on welfare = (nearly exactly)
Number of illegal aliens working in USA.

When I was an infant my father was nailing together apple boxes for a living and being paid $0.05 per box in Washington State. I began my working career by climbing with a scrapper into huge dough (bread) mixing machines for minimum wage, - at that time about $1.00 per hour. The final (Wonder Bread) product was literally made in part by the sweat from my brow.

However, I did not walk 10 miles to school each day as it was only about one mile. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bigglasses.gif" alt="" />
