I was just thinking about this tonight while at work. I was thinking about prayer and getting people in the body to pray for our concerns and I asked myself if more was better? Is the focus on how many people in the body are praying or on how effectively those that are praying?

I then thought about how Peter is imprisoned and how while he's in prison the brethren met together and prayed for him all night. I was thinking how hard it would be to gather a handful of Christians now together for an overnight prayer meeting. So I was just wondering what everyone else thought about this? I'm going to start studying a little bit more about prayer.

Y.B.I.C,

Dave.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. - Galatians 2:16

Dave,

In my opinion more is better. It's interesting that you bring this up as I'm trying to start a small prayer chain amongst friends. Yesterday I made out about six 3x5 cards with prayer requests to hand out to some men that I fellowship with on a regular basis and also my mother. My plan is to give them a 3x5 with their name on them to fill out and give back to me so that I may remember them in prayer as well (I've already handed out one set and the idea was received well). I think we need that support in our lives as believers...at least I KNOW I do...and as much as I can get. I don't want this to turn into an obligation thing but I just asked that when we remember each other we can simply pull out the card and pray for our specific needs. Hope that helps some...
