Matthew 7:1-2

Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

I was listening to this sermon and the pastor talked about several types of judgments this verse applies to. One of the judgments he applied this verse to was the judgment of final rewards in heaven. For the judgment for rewards (not salvation), he said according to this verse God, when rewarding us, would apply the same judgment we applied to others to us. For example,

If you attributed bad motives to others in this life, on the day of judgment, God would attribute bad motives to you.

What do you think? Is this a proper interpretation of this verse? How will God judge Christians with the same standard we used?

Although it's a long sermon, you can find it here (the quote is near the 40-41 minute mark)
