Here is a poem which depicts my life.I was so much like that Leper who came to Jesus. But His touch made all the difference. The only major difference being I did not come to Jesus, but He came to me in my lowest estate! Trust me, Wretches like me are 'unsavable',but not for the Master!

When His disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, "With men this is
impossible; but with God all things are possible! Hallelujah!

That's so beautiful, brother Mike. I've heard it before, but its so good to hear again, especially as my old Dad was a violinist, but do not know if he died truly in Christ. He said a few words of repentance, but I shall not know till in heaven with Christ.

Dear Sister,
I am so glad to hear that your Dad was a violinist, but much more glad to know that he did speak a few words on repentance.

But as you have rightly said we shall not know until we reach Glory. The comforting thought is that even if some of our loved ones were not among the ‘chosen’ and do not make it to heaven, I believe that God will completely erase our memories of them from our minds.

For what a Heaven would that be to be constantly plagued and tormented by the thought that my son or daughter etc did not make it and is eternally lost?

So Scripture assures us, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful”. [Rev 21:4,5]

Love
Mike!

I too believe this is what Scripture teaches. Jonathan Edwards long before us held to the same view and expounded on it in his infamous (to the world) but glorious (to the saints) sermon entitled:

THE END OF THE WICKED
Contemplated
BY THE RIGHTEOUS:
OR.
THE TORMENTS OF THE WICKED IN HELL, NO OCCASION OF GRIEF TO THE SAINTS IN HEAVEN.

You can read this sermon HERE.

Dear brother in Christ, Thank you - yes that is a comforting thought indeed, particularly as we have no-one in our family, as far as we know, who show yet any signs of being regenerated. It certainly is a solitary way, the narrow way, as dear Mr. Philpot said in his devotional.

Thank you, Pilgrim, for that confirmation, which is so helpful. I will have to read the sermon another time, as its very late here now in England.

God bless. Love in Christ, English Rose
