Many in the Reformed community have heard of Dr. Jay Adams. He is the founder of the Nouthetic Counselling movement; of which I had the pleasure a few years ago of taking a course through his ministry.
On November the 14th, he was promoted to glory.

Sorry to hear that we have lost a man who IMO was a gift of God to the Church. I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with him briefly at WTS Philly and attended the same church as his protege John Bettler. I is my hope and prayer that there are still many who believe that it is God's written Word that is the sole and final authority in all matters of faith and practice (life). And it is Scripture which is the truth (Jh 17:17) and only hope for the problems of mankind which are nothing less than the result of sin(s).

I had the pleasure of taking a Nouthetic Course that my pastor hosted about 5 years ago.
