Today marks one year since Charlie Kirk was senselessly taken from us.

It’s hard to believe that a full year has passed.

One year since a young husband and father walked onto a college campus to do what he had done countless times before: stand in front of a crowd, take questions, defend his beliefs, and challenge an entire generation to think for themselves.

And one year since a voice that had become impossible to ignore was suddenly silenced.

Charlie Kirk was many things to many people.

But to the freedom movement, he was a force.

He understood something that too many people in Washington never will: freedom survives only when the next generation is willing to fight for it.

That was especially true when it came to the Second Amendment.

Charlie never shied away from defending our right to keep and bear arms -- even when doing so was politically inconvenient.

He understood that the Second Amendment wasn't merely about hunting or sport.

It was about the fundamental right of free people to defend themselves, their families, and their liberty.

Charlie once famously said, "Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty."

Those words are worth remembering today.

Because Charlie understood something else: You cannot preserve freedom by being afraid to defend it.

He spent years traveling to college campuses, debating his opponents, answering hostile questions, and encouraging young Americans to stand up for what they believed.

He helped pull thousands of young people into the conservative movement.

He gave them a voice.

He gave them a platform.

And he gave them the courage to stand up and say, “I believe in freedom.”

That is Charlie Kirk's legacy.

And one year later, that legacy is still alive.

The movement he built continues.

The young people he inspired continue to speak.

And the fight for the Second Amendment continues.

We owe it to Charlie -- and to every American who has sacrificed for our freedoms -- to make sure that fight never ends.

So please take a moment to remember Charlie. Remember his courage, his conviction, and his willingness to walk into the lion's den and defend freedom anyway.

Charlie’s life was cut far too short.

But his impact will last for generations.

May God bless Charlie's family, his children, and everyone who loved him.

And may God bless the United States of America.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown

National Association for Gun Rights

His murder is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen. So tragic. He seemed like a nice, caring, thoughtful guy with a great perspective and sound approach to engaging and educating the ignorant.

Amen! So nice to see a positive mention of the deceased Charlie Kirk when on social media there are so man despicable ravings against the man by the crazy woke Left. Despite his faults, he was a really influential apologist for what is quickly disappearing as was once known as common sense, good and evil and in defense of America as well as the existence and authority of God over all. His ministry carries on despite the efforts to destroy it and continiues to make inroads into the minds of many college students and others throughout the world. Turning Point is a formidable organization to those who hate God and America especially. May his vision of bringing peace through thoughtful dialog continue to grow.

Well said!

Sometimes, even professing Christians strongly disagree with Charlie when it came to things like guns. This includes Christians whom I normally agree with; but in their ignorance say that his assassination proves he was wrong on that matter.

What I need to learn is when to shut my mouth when they display that ignorance..

I was reading other people honouring Charlie Kirk.
Unfortunately, there were just as many people that mocked him, or talked trash about him.

Here is one of the more mild ones.

Quote
Pointing out the complete irony of Kirk's death isn't mocking him. He was literally deflecting the subject of gun violence to black and brown people when he was gunned down in a school shooting by a white man.

"I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights." --Charlie Kirk

He advocated for his own death.

Illogical nonsense, never mind gross insensitivity in regard to someone being assassinated and the grief the surviving family is having to endure. igiveup

Illogical nonsense and insensitivity is correct.
Yet it is growing more rampant.
