Whatever the errors and deficiencies of holy hip-hop, embracing the abominable heresies of the Word-Faith movement (Copeland, Hagin, Hinn, Meyer, Dollar, Price, Osteen, etc.) is not one of them, or at least the use of holy hip-hop by some artists and ministries should not be confused with their acceptance or espousal of this arch-heresy.

Most of the articles I have linked refer to artists like William Branch or Curtis "Voice" Allen who, apart from their use and advocacy of holy hip-hop music, are doctrinally orthodox. In fact, Curtis Allen and another group Christocentric are explicitly Reformed in their theology, and Allen has even performed his "Reformed rap" at John Piper's church in Minneapolis.

Remember that the devil's conterfiet always tries to mimic the truth. Word-faith teachers selectively quote, misquote, and distort the Word of God (like you know who) and work lying signs and wonders (like you know who) and have all the external trappings of traditional gospel preachers -- they wear suits (usually very, very flashy ones), they say "Jesus" and "Amen" and "Hallelujah" hundreds of times during a sermon or praise-a-thon, they turn bright red (not Creflo Dollar and Fred Price of course), and they sweats a lot. But the message is pure pagan filth and Satanic deception.

I am glad to see that this issue is now being addressed on another thread since it has absolutely nothing to do with holy hip-hop.

Now, after seeing grandma getting funky and a punk rock graemlin, who's going to impress me with a beatboxing or turntablist graemlin? I'll settle for one with a baseball cap and some bling.
