Here are a couple of links to what people bring up.

Mountain Tribe Evangelized

Again, I know from Romans 1,2, and 10 that God's primary means of grace is through the Word. But I'm trying to affirm that in my church.

What happens to people who have never heard the gospel?

I've heard the story about the mountain tribe but I don't think I've ever seen it verified. It's a nice story but it doesn't really prove much, does it? Even if it is "true," does it show that the tribe was saved before they heard the Gospel and believed in Christ? Or does experience overrule the Word of God?

As for the second link, there is a lot of nonsense there. He completely misconstrues the Apostle's words in Rom. 1:20, which show that all men are condemned because none honors God as he ought to. Even worse is his treatment of Rom. 15:21. But anyone can read v. 20 and see that Paul doesn't mean that people are saved without hearing and believing the Gospel!

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified.
