Following is part of an email received yesterday from a medical team that is from Tennessee working to help the people of Haiti regain their lives. They have set up their field hospital on the grounds of a orphanage that our church helps to support. > We stopped and the boys pointed to a collapsed university: A former 11-story building now pancaked. Ten days after the 7.0 earthquake, most of the students as well as the teacher are still inside. Each classroom once held 100 students each, my companions told me, but they don’t know how many classrooms it had. It is rumored voices from within were heard as recently as yesterday. A crew was supposed to come today and dig them out. The rescue crew wasn’t there by the time we arrived in the afternoon. My companions pointed across the street to a partially vacant lot where a small excavator was parked. > > “They dug a big hole, and buried lots of people there.” >
