There is an old adage which is quoted both ways:

“A man who has an argument is always at the mercy of a man who has an experience.”

OR

“A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument.”

In other words, you are probably correct that bringing facts to this man to consider isn't going to convince him. But the Holy Spirit, the real Holy Spirit can convince him by using your argument, i.e., the Spirit works through means. The question is... Are you willing to spend the time and frustration bringing your arguments to him? Or, should you shake the dust off your shoes and move on? scratchchin
