Peter's aguement has merit but it assumes that the Christian student knew what she was getting into before she went to the school.
Many Churches now a days do not tell their congragations about the perils of seculars schools. The student is a 24 year old, meaning that she was quite a bit younger when she entered university. Unfortunately many Churches see no difference between biblical counciling and secular counciling.
Although it is true that she would have met with teaching that is against the Christian faith, it is also true that she may have been able to whether that storm if she hadn't run into this challenge against her faith.
All that being said, if I wanted to become a councilor, I definately would not go to a secular institution.
I would probably become what it known a a Nouthetic Counselor.
