Well said!!! That is the position I have taken, plus it’s also one of my arguments concerning “the pastor HAS to be married.” I’m 51-years-old and have no desire to be married. Don’t get me wrong, because I am not gay as has been rumored about me. Thirty years ago my views were different and I could have easily found myself married; and divorced, and remarried, etc. etc. That was the pattern for 99% of those in my family. One uncle was married five times; twice to the same woman.
Marriage is a gift given of God. If it’s outside of His will, it will NOT work. As I’ve matured I’ve come to understand “the gift of singleness.” If the Lord wants an individual married it’s going to happen no matter what. What thinkest thou?
