I am having a hard time with this concept of contemplative prayer. I see in the bible where there are examples of people, even Jesus, getting alone in a solitary place to pray. We are told to pray in secret. There seems to be a fine line between mysticism and true contemplative prayer. Can anyone help me out on this. I really think there is a place in the Christian church for a type of contemplative prayer.
