Joe, praying that you and others will not be impacted negatively in the passing of the storm.

Is Joe still in Germany? Even so, it is good to pray for all who are in the path of these storms. Thanks for the reminder, John

Charly turned south and hit Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte hard.

My step mother, who lives in Punta Gorda, went up a story or two to a friend's apartment to weather the storm last night. (They had shutters on their windows.) When she checked her apartment it did not seem too bad.

But the building's roof was torn off and water had worked its way down to the third floor. She had to evacuate her second floor apartment for fear that the ceiling would give way.

My brother in Gainesville had gotten all prepared and didn't get anything from Charly.

Many thanks for your prayers. My wife was here alone while I was in Europe. Many thanks--she and the household made it through safely...., but is it a mess outside and at the Orlando Airport....

Thanks for letting us know, Joe! We're glad your wife and home were spared and that you are home from Germany. How hard it must have been for you and your wife to be separated during the storm!

Glad you're home! When you have time, we'd love to hear about your trip!

Blessings,
Kim

Joe,

I'm glad to hear that you've returned home safely and that your loved ones survived the hurricane. I'll bet there's a lot of cleaning up to do.

They "think" (the local news) we are going to get hit again. I am praying it will say bye-bye and go back out to the depth from which it came. Did we have some rain today!!! ......

Thanks you for keeping us in your prayers.

I think I am going to the Florida panhandle to visit family. Please pray for us. Unless things change we will be leaving Orlando tomorrow evening.

Joe,

Where abouts in the Panhandle? The forecasters still are unsure of the direction on the Hurricane. Probably by mid afternoon tomorrow, they will have a better idea of where it is heading.

The Panhandle is North FL along the Gulf coast. I'll be right below AL. Of course we are watching the weather updates.....

I live in Tallahassee. Stationed in Panama City in the USAF many years ago, and my family is from Mississippi. So, we vacationed in PC, Destin & Pensacola while growing-up. I was just curious in what town you had relatives.
