Thus, Jesus identifies with and endorses John’s ministry as divinely ordained and his message as needing to be heeded. Righteousness is a key concept in Matthew (7 occurrences) and is closely associated with the coming of the kingdom (5:6, 10), etc. Reformed and Always Reforming,
