Another Reformed friend recently told me, that there were Reformed theologians of the past that did assert that Israel would become a nation again.
I have yet to see proof of this, even after asking another friend who has quite a library of books by Reformed theologians past and present. He has never seen proof of this either.
I sent a message to the my Reformed friend, asking if he had information proving that Theologians of the past believed that. i am hoping he will respond.
In the meantime, I thought I would ask the-highway, if they know anything about this particular issue.
I do know that some Historic Premillennialists such as Albert Mohler believed Israel will become a nation again and 1948 was the fulfilment of that. Mohler also believes that not all the land that Scripture promised Israel, is Israel’s yet.
My Reformed friend with the library, thinks Mohler’s Historic Premillennial has been influenced by Dispensationalism. Saying that no Historic Premillennialists that were involved in any of the Reformed Confessions, would agree with Mohler.

Mohler also believes that not all the land that Scripture promised Israel, is Israel’s yet. Joshua 1:1-4 (KJV) 1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. Joshua 21:43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

Agreed, Israel did get the land that was promised them.
That really was not what I was asking.
I know of no person during the 1600 up until modern times, who was was Confessional, that would agree with Mohler’s form of Historic Premillennialism. This includes Confessional Historic Premillennialists.
Do you?

I was responding to this statement you mentioned above: "Mohler also believes that not all the land that Scripture promised Israel, is Israel’s yet"
And, No, I know of no one, to my personal knowledge, who holds to Mohler's view as you have provided.

there have been reformed premil who held to the jewish people converting to Jesus at time of Second Coming, and during great tribulation time, such as John Gill (1697–1771): A notable Baptist theologian who held a premillennial view. Horatius Bonar (1808–1889): A Presbyterian minister and hymnwriter. J.C. Ryle (1816–1900): An Anglican evangelical bishop. George Eldon Ladd (1911–1982): A Baptist scholar who provided the modern scholarly basis for historic premillennialism, influencing many Calvinists. Others: Modern Reformed figures holding this view have included Francis Schaeffer and James Montgomery Boice.
