This has always struck me as a very interesting passage. We are taught that the tongue is small but hard to control but control it we must, never to use the Lord's name in vain, blaspheme, lie, gossip, slander, and so forth and even avoid accusations against powers ordained by God.

Rom. 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God
