Those of us who are "theologically trained" will generally understand "Liberal" to mean Existentialism as taught by such men as Schleiemacher, Ritschl, Von Harnack, Bultmann, Rauschenbusch, et al, which is totally unrelated to modern "neo-Christianity", of which you speak. grin
