I gave a lecture in Febuary on Edwards and Finney and during the Q&A session this one lady just went on and on about the geneology of the Edwards family. Seemed to be under the impression that there was some sort of Theological royalty passed down the blood-line. Truth is Edwards always had some difficulties with some of his relatives. Most of his opposition in Northhampton over the communion controversy came from kinfolks. Carried over to Stockbridge as well. His grandson became the third Vice President but he is remembered more as a duelist<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/takethat.gif" alt="" /> than as a Christian.
