Thanks for responding. But I think that first Q&A from the Westminster Shorter Catechism really shows us WHAT; the "rule" and thus HOW we are to live before God, i.e., to glorify Him. I'm really asking WHY one would desire to glorify Him. What is the MOTIVE that would have a person go to the Scriptures to learn how to live a life of holiness? What is the reason someone would desire to be sanctified?
