We were first attracted to Trump, despite his rhetoric. But as time went by the question of WHY has he allegedly moved from far left to at least median right kept gnawing away. So, we gravitated toward Cruz, even though I did not find him credible at times. Let's be totally honest, shall we? What politician isn't a liar and self-serving? The only candidate who appeared to be genuine, albeit far from perfect, was Ben Carson. But we didn't feel he was 'presidential material'. We have always maintained that a person must vote according to conscience and not be pragmatic in choosing who to vote for. What is also important is that EVERYONE must vote, including you John. So, what is one to do if the two 'official' candidates are unacceptable to your conscience? The Constitution allows voters to write in whoever they desire. They are not under any obligation to choose between 'official candidates'.

Now, here's the rub... It is most probable that Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. This woman is a compulsive liar, a master of deceit, an enemy of the Constitution and to put it bluntly, she is pure evil. In this particular election, we might have to vote for Trump as our conscience would dictate that the nation as we know it will cease to exist if Hillary Clinton becomes President. Remember, most promises made by presidential candidates are fiction since Congress must approve whatever the President wants, unless of course, everything is done by 'Executive Order', which Obama is infamous. It just could be that Trump will gather around him a conservative Cabinet and appoint some conservative appointments.

Lastly, what I am 100% sure of is that whoever is elected that person will be the servant of God no less than was Cyrus who was used to bring punishment upon apostate Israel. The USA is likewise apostate, i.e., it has no love of God among the overwhelming majority of people, including those espousing religion. I cannot but believe that this nation is under God's judgment for its idolatry and evil practices. The end of the Republic is most likely going to happen sooner or later. However, I would rather see it later than sooner and thus I have to vote for the less evil candidate who is electable and pray that God will use that individual to either stem the direction America has been moving for the last 150 years or even better, to reverse direction at least for a little while.

To sum up... vote according to your conscience knowing that the Sovereign LORD has ordained all things for His glory and the good of the Church, even if means the Church is subject to overt persecution.
