Yes, I get your point, which I reject. Why? Because it is based upon YOUR NARROW, LIMITED EXPERIENCE. If you visit New York City (which I can't imagine why anyone would want to go there) you will find people, generally are not friendly. But this would be true in most large cities. If you would visit New England, on the whole, people are very friendly there. You will find people are different wherever you go; some warm and friendly, some indifferent and some even hostile to others even in their own city or town. Sweeping generalities are rarely representative of what is true.

I didn't realize that you are a world traveler? scratchchin

I'm comparing because you are proud to be a Canadian yet profess to be a Christian which are antithetical. Why? Because the Canadian system of government is not biblical. It is Socialism which believes that the majority of people are nothing more than dumb sheep which need to be governed controlled by a certain few. Thus government determines what a person can eat, what kind of work they must do, what is right and wrong, owns those things which are essential to live in that country which they determine are essential, e.g., insurance, utilities, communication, etc. The fact that you "feel" safe (yet another intangible) means nothing. You are forbidden, for the most part to "own and bear arms" and thus take responsibility for your own safety. You are forced to trust the government for protection, which for the most part they cannot do. "Where is a cop when you really need one?" is not some joke, but a reality. Law enforcement cannot give you proper protection and it is the case in most incidents that they can only clean up the mess and try to track down and apprehend the criminals. And even then, in Canada, the judicial system hands out ridiculously lenient penalties for even capital crimes.

Contrary to Canada, the founders of the United States believed that all men are created by God and have been given INALIENABLE RIGHTS by their Creator. Further, they believed that "Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth." (Abraham Lincoln) In short, government was to be small and its main purpose was to SERVE the people and ensure that individual freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution are enjoyed by all. No other country in the world is rooted in these truths. This is what brings much consternation and sadness to those of us who believe those truths and are determined to preserve them at all costs. For the U.S. is at war at the present time, in ideologies for the most part, but even against violence perpetrated by the LEFT (Socialist protagonists) who would have the U.S. to become another Canada or European country.

Lastly, throughout the 15 years I lived in Canada, I experienced open hostility against America, Americans and me personally for being an American. Rare were there examples of friendliness. And what was the source of the hostility? It flowed from a hatred of the MORALS upon which America was founded. Back then there was no homosexual marriage, abortion was openly opposed, etc. The Open market system was ridiculed as was private healthcare. And the fundamental reason for Canadians hatred of Americans is to be found in man's total depravity. Sven Robinson, in contrast, wrote a bill to have any and all mention of God to be removed from Canada. Another NDP member participated in the burning of crosses on church properties. The most attended spectator event in Canada has consistently been the Gay Pride Parades. The majority of Americans, contrary to what people hear from the main street media, oppose such sinful things.

What is incontrovertibly true is that both the U.S. and Canada are under the just judgment and wrath of God. And both shall fall according to the perfect foreordination of God who raises up and then destroys that which opposes Him.
