Shades and echoes of Ralph Klein, eh? Practically, I doubt Alberta could legally secede from Canada. Quebec has tried 3 times and failed. With Klein, all Ottawa had to due was threaten to cut off Federal 'healthcare' funding and the entire plan disappeared over night. I'm surprised the Prairies don't leave. Most level-minded people live there vs. the 'granola' provinces (ya know; fruits, nuts, and flakes) on the East and West coasts.
