Typically, we read that 'heaven' is where God and His angels dwell. It is the abode of spiritual entities. That is to be distinguished from 'the heavens' which can refer to the physical universe within which are the other planets and the stars. On the other hand 'earth' is for terrestrial living creatures, who may also have a spirit/soul; man. We also know that when Adam sinned, the entire creation; heaven and earth were subject to corruption and even now 'groan' for the redemption (Rom 8:18-22). So, I could extrapolate from those facts along that God has said that there is a "New Heaven and New Earth" that is to infallibly come, that the heaven that was first created was also corrupted by the rebellion of Satan and his minions will be 'purified' once and for all like unto the New Earth. Beyond that, I dare not tread. (Deut 29:29)
