I read them in this order.......

KJV
RSV w/ Apocrypha
NIV

I am in IIKings in the OT on my NRSV, with the NT already finished. After this, I will probably read the NASB, but take a bit more time than a year.

God bless,

william

I did the "Bible In one Year" thing for 2 years. It required 3-4 chapters a day. I found it was WAY too much to take in in a profitiable manner at once. I'm doing 0.5 - 1 chapter a day now. I find it allows me to chew it over better, look some words up in Vine's, etc...

(Latin phrase goes here.)

When I was a co-pastor in a former church, I was always impressed by the way my co-pastor read through his Bible. He read through it in Greek and Hebrew. He said he could get through the NT in one year, reading it in greek every morning and the OT took him longer, reading it in Hebrew each morning. He read NT and OT every morning. I tried following his example but had to revert to english translations. It took me way too long in the originals.

Dan
