I considered putting this in the Open forum, so if it is out of place please relocate it. At any rate I thought I would furnish the Highway members with a website from a friend (or former friend) of mine and see what feedback I might get. http://www.romancatholicism.net/Please note my friend was previously Reformed Presbyterian. I say former friend because he has rejected me as a damned heretic.

Saint,
I'm sorry to hear that your friend is so confused and blind. He may have said he was Reformed Presbyterian before he converted to Catholicism but I rather doubt that he ever knew and understood the doctrines of grace.
Arguments are fruitless with individuals who are knowledgable of religion but lack discernment. Until his eyes are opened he will remain blind. If Catholicism meets his needs then he's never known the Truth. For no one would abandon sound doctrine for the errors of Catholicism unless he never understood it.
May the Lord have mercy on him.
Wes

I have refused to debate or even discuss any of it with him. He's not about to listen and I don't need to waste my breath. I believe he intellectually accepted the doctrines of grace, but obviously he never clung to them spiritually as a child of God.
As for your assessment: I concur.

I see your old friend has called the pope that he says all must submitt to (according to him) "anti-pope John Paul 2".
I find that quite interesting concidering, he has stated only those under the pope are in the true Church, yet it would seem that he doesn't submit to him. Hmmm, am I missing something <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif" alt="" />
