Hi everyone, Well, I didn't really thing this was entirely right for either the church search or the prayer forums, so I just went on and posted here in the Open Forum.
The Pastor at the church I've been attending on Sundays for the last several months is leaving, and even though i've only been involved with this church and pastor for maybe 6 to 8 months, I feel sad about this. This brother has been a great encouragement to me over the last few months and has taught me many things and shown me kindness I'm unused to. I know surely that the Lord's hand is upon Bro. Dan as he and his family move, he's as upright and Bible saturated and Christ exalting a man as ever I've had the pleasure of meeting, so very full of integrity.
Anyway, he's moving to Mid-Cities Baptist Church in Westminster, California. So I was going to ask if anyone might perhaps know anything about it, cause I didn't really find much online.
I was also gonna ask anyone seeing this to pray for the church he's going to, for he and his family (his wife and 3 young children 1 girl and 2 boys), and for the church he's leaving, Northeast Park Baptist Church of Evansville, Indiana.
From closer inspection of the site, I see that is lists a lot of Evangelical Free Churches. The two in KY that are listed are not Calvinist.
And then I went to "home" and realized to my shock and horror that this site is the Grace Evangelical Society website!!! They are extremely anti-Lordship!
Kerry Gilliard (OS-X) debated Bob Wilkin of GES, and James White will be debating Wilkin in the spring.
Is your pastor a Calvinist? If he is, I'm sure he will especially need our prayers if he is going to a GES type church.

Westminster is in southern California in Orange County. Orange County is a pretty affluent area. It is also the home of some of the so called "mega-churches" like Saddleback Church (where Rick Warren is the Senior Pastor).

My home's in Orange County, but I don't know anything about this particular church in Westminster, or how influenced it may be by the "Purpose-Driven Church" of Rick Warren's (in my HOME TOWN! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/Eeeeeek.gif" alt="" />). Orange County is also unfortunately home to Rev. Schuller's Crystal Cathedral and his demonic radio program, the "Hour of Power," and also to the heresy-spawning TBN. Man. What a mess, eh?
