I have some next door neighbors who had a birthday party for their daughter. My wife stopped by with my boys and during her visit the husband was telling her that he thinks the Da Vinci Code novel, written by Dan Brown, has a lot of credibility. He is also into the Knight's Templar stuff, which I am not too familiar with, but apparantly they are some secret society developed in Scotland whose purpose is to protect the holy relics of Christ. Things like the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant and so forth.
Any how, My wife chatted with him a bit, but defered to me to meet up with him so as to answer his questions. I haven't had the opportunity yet due to our schedules conflicting. He is a sales man who is on the road a lot.
At any rate, he doesn't read a lot (obviously, any reading he does is bad), but my wife tells me that his wife thinks he would be interested in some audio messages critiquing the book. Does anyone know of any reputable pastor, theologian or teacher who has done a lecture critiquing the Da Vinci Code? Please keep in mind that I am looking for audio versions, not printed material.
Any help would be appreciated.
Fred

The only one I have heard on the Da Vinci Code: sermon part 1, part 2. There are some ok books out critiquing it (for those interested), check WTS.

I've heard these sermons and they are quite good. They expose the obvious fallacies in Dan Brown's writings. There are some very good books out there also that show Dan Brown's statements to be completly wrong. Erwin Lutzer's The Da Vinci Deception is quite good and pretty quick read. I would recommend it to anyone.

Hey Fred,
Sorry, this is totally off topic, but I just wanted to let you know that I like the new Avatar. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bananas.gif" alt="" />

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. - Galatians 2:16
