I had a couple mormons stop over Monday and I told them to stop back another time because I was busy...and of course they did and of course I told them to try again later. My motive, I think, is impure though. I really don't want them to come back out of true concern for their utterly lost condition but rather to with them in hopes that their lies may be exposed. Do you think it's even wise to let them in your home? As a new believer, I did this about nine years ago to some Mormonettes and they Left FURIOUS &

I brought out my copy of the scriptures and began to refute their lies and of course they didn't like that. Anyway, should this be done only from a pure motive or should one avoid it altogether...

Hi Thredj,

I think it can be a great opportunity to evangelize them, IF you can remain calm and focused. They tend to try and evade your direct questions and lead you off in a different direction. My thoughts are that one should be sufficiently grounded oneself, and be prepared to handle their interpretations, so as to show them where they are going wrong, rather than be led by them.

Your point about motive is rather important though. If one desires only to argue, or appear superior in knowledge and faith, this is not to glorify the Creator God and is sin in itself. In this case it is better to send them on their way. Just my 2 cents!

In His Hands,

Ruth
