I've noticed over the past month or so that there are very few 'views' indicated in the Software Forum. If there is no longer an interest in this forum I will remove it. Please vote your preference in the poll below:

Do you want the Software Forum to continue?
single choice
YES - I want the forum to continue. (75%, 12 Votes)
NO - I have no interest in that forum. (25%, 4 Votes)
Total Votes: 16
Voting on this poll ends: Sun Dec 31, 2006 3:10 PM

Seems to me that a good idea would be to put all the software postings in the help desk forum

Vince,

The original intent of having the separate forums within the Computer category was to do just that... keep specific needs or subjects separate and thus make it easier to find topics. I'm not convinced intermixing software update notifications with Tech Support issues is the best way to go.

My question in the poll was simply in regard to that forum's usefulness. If the majority of members simply aren't finding the information provided in that particular forum useful and/or of interest, then there is no sense in having it. Maintaining that forum does take some time and effort on my part, although it is of no burden to me to do so. I created the computer category forums as a service.

Well you know me Pil I'll always find it interesting even if you do rant on Firefox. And I have to say that you've found some software that I find very useful and can not find the same information else where.

Just want to say thank you for the rest of the board and the Highway mainpage it's been a blessing, wish I had more in the way of posts to contribute.

William,

You are most welcome. As you well know, it has been a labour of love for nearly 11 years now. May the Lord continue to bless those drawn here. In regard to lack of the number of posts you are somewhat lamenting over, we always prefer quality to quantity. [Linked Image]

In His grace,

Personally, the Software Forum is how I keep track of my software updates and upgrades.
