Hi, everyone,
My cousin is going to a Lutheran College in Virginia, I believe it is located in Raleigh. Does anyone know of any Reformed Baptist Churches in VA that she could go to?
Thank you very much, -RoadOfLife

Is that Raleigh, Virginia? or North Carolina? I can't seem to find a Raleigh in Virginia. There are quite a number of Reformed Baptist Churches in Virginia to choose from but not knowing where Raleigh is, I couldn't point you to any. There is, however, a Reformed Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC: Grace Reformed Baptist Church.

This might seem like a Stupid question but if your cousin is going to a Lutheran college, doesn't that college require they attend chapel at the local Lutheran Church on campus? Or is this an ECLA college?

Hi RoadOfLife, There is only one Lutheran college in Virginia, and that is Roanoke College in Salem, VA (just outside of Roanoke, VA). I'm not aware of any Lutheran colleges in Raleigh, NC, so I assume you must be thinking of Roanoke. Here's what I could find: From Founders: Plantation Road Baptist Church 5505 Plantation Road Roanoke, VA 24019 Ron Young Jr. 540-366-1487 PlantRDBap@ntelos.nethttp://plantationroadbaptistchurch.com/index.html(Southern Baptist, London Confession of 1689, traditional worship) Calvary Memorial Church 2226 Colonial Avenue Roanoke, VA 24015 Mark Vaughan 540-342-7489 cmc@cmcroanoke.orghttp://www.cmcroanoke.org/(independent, Calvinistic soteriology, premillennial, apparently "contemporary" worship) From the Reformed Reader: Trinity Church 3202 Oakdale Road Roanoke, VA 24018 Scott Carter 540.776.0445 (Home) 540.776.3411 (Study) shcarter@juno.com(no other info) From 9Marks: West Salem Baptist Church 500 Turner Road Salem, VA 24153 Nick Shaffer 540-389-2129 nshaffer@wsbaptist.orghttp://wsbaptist.org/index.php(Southern Baptist, Calvinistic soteriology, "contemporary" worship)

Or is this an ECLA college? Paul, If I have found the college to which RoadOfLife is actually referring, they are an independent liberal arts college affiliated with the ELCA. Their catalogue says the following: The opportunities for worship on campus include Chapel on Tuesday mornings, an informal service of Holy Communion on Wednesday evenings and special services on festivals and holy days. On Sunday, students are encouraged to worship in the local congregation of their choice.

Kyle have I been gone so long that you've forgotten my name ? Got the first letter right my friend. The opportunities for worship on campus include Chapel on Tuesday mornings, an informal service of Holy Communion on Wednesday evenings and special services on festivals and holy days. On Sunday, students are encouraged to worship in the local congregation of their choice. And that sounds about right for that formerly Lutheran denomination. Boanerges aka Peter Nelson

Hi all, Thank you so much for replying. I'm so sorry, of course Raleigh is in N.C!!! Anyhow: I really do not know whether college students on this certain campus are required to go to their own college church.Thank you Covenant-in-Blood for doing the research of those other churches. I will look into them. and yes, I believe you are right about Roanoke too. Thanks, Pilgrim for your help, too -RoadOfLife
