who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve those practicing them. (LITV Ro.1:32)
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (KJVS Isa.5:20)
For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever (2Jn.1:2).

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." -Matt 5:11-12
I'm not sure how the Lord feels about her bringing suit against them in light of this verse. But since we live in a system/country that gives us rights to do so, and not in a dictatorship (yet- just give Obama time), I hope she wins.

Okay bringing what may be a little controversy into this subject. Why would a Christian go to a secular school to get a degree in counseling since by it's very nature the teaching method of counseling would be antithetical to the very faith she espouses.
Second why was she surprised?
Okay let the rhubarb begin.

No rhubarb to throw from this house. I think your comments are very insightful and worthy of merit. However, there are some who feel that they are willing to endure the errors of secular teaching in order to gain a position in the secular world's milieu to be able to then teach the truth. That's a hard road to travel, IMHO, and one which is fraught with many perils. What this woman's motives are for matriculating at that university aren't revealed so commenting on that aspect of the situation would be unwarranted. But, she surely should not be surprised at the opposition and persecution she is receiving from this institution and the psychological department.

Peter, are you KIDDING?!!! At the price of rhubarb these days, I can't afford to even make a pie never mind throw it at you. No, I also tried that routine myself many years ago hoping to gain a license to practice. The rubbish they were teaching was simply not worth the aggravation never mind the cost of tuition. It was a waste of resources and I was at odds with everything they espoused.

Peter's aguement has merit but it assumes that the Christian student knew what she was getting into before she went to the school. Many Churches now a days do not tell their congragations about the perils of seculars schools. The student is a 24 year old, meaning that she was quite a bit younger when she entered university. Unfortunately many Churches see no difference between biblical counciling and secular counciling. Although it is true that she would have met with teaching that is against the Christian faith, it is also true that she may have been able to whether that storm if she hadn't run into this challenge against her faith. All that being said, if I wanted to become a councilor, I definately would not go to a secular institution. I would probably become what it known a a Nouthetic Counselor. www.nouthetic.org
