Hi, everyone!

So it's been waaay too long since I posted on here!

Facebook has taken over most of my online time, and I was over on the PuritanBoard for a bit, but I backed off from the long conversations.

I came back on here because I was feeling nostalgic, and I was perusing my posts from 15+ years ago...

I'd forgotten how much craziness I was going through at the time-- I don't blame myself for wanting to move out from my as-yet-unconverted parents, but I'm very thankful to say that I do believe the Lord has brought them salvation! About 10 years ago, in fact! I wonder what would have happened had I stayed with them just a little longer...but that was not in God's plan. Although they still go to the same liberal church (the gospel is preached, but not always consistently), they have a genuine interest in the things of God and see their need for Christ every day. My dad wants to be an encouragement there for others to pursue the Lord, and he sees himself as a different man than he used to be. While I don't understand fully why they don't leave and go elsewhere, I trust that if they are truly saved, God will sustain them. My apologies for being so late to tell!

Things are fine at Southern Seminary as well, and at my Reformed Baptist church.

I noticed that Ruth hasn't been on here-- what happened to her?

True godliness is a sincere feeling which loves God as Father as much as it fears and reverences Him as Lord, embraces His righteousness, and dreads offending Him worse than death~ Calvin

Marie,

What a pleasant surprise to see your post. I have little doubt that many who used to be very active here have been swallowed up by Facebook. The fortunate ones, due to their expressed conservative views have had their accounts blocked or removed. giggle I do hope and pray that God has truly visited your parents and will rescue them from that liberal church by opening their eyes to know the Scriptures which will, by the work of the Holy Spirit, which will reveal the truth and be set free.

Don't be a stranger here, at least not for such a loooooooooooong period of time. grin
