Social Justice Threatens the PCA General Assembly

Likely better to use the descriptors "Confessional or Not" rather than "Conservative or Liberal" when talking about the PCA anymore. Before the now-apostate PCUSA "went liberal," they went "big-tent-inclusive," looking more towards being big and influential than towards being faithful to the Standards. It was the next generation that "went liberal." Now look... there are those in the PCA, perhaps a majority, that want to make the denomination big and influential and "culturally relevant" that are following the same path. Why does it seem as though a new Reformed denomination stops being Reformed in two or three generations? Is it just because we want to be "big and influential?"

And speaking of big and influential, it seems that the "less confessional" have won the leadership of the USA's largest Protestant denomination as well. The Southern Baptist Convention has selected leadership that looks to be headed down the same road as the PCA and the PCUSA before them.

It's getting harder and harder to rely on denominational affiliation to determine where a church truly stands on even doctrinal and theological issues.

And even that may not be enough...confessional or not! The first thing the PCUSA did in 1973 was to elect women deacons and elders. That's "big-tent inclusive" all right.

Speaking of the SBC: https://news.yahoo.com/newly-elected-southern-baptist-president-122419196.html

Can we say "pandering?"
