This morning, when I clicked on the thread "Repentance is of necessity" in the "Devotional" forum, where there were two new messages, I immediately received a Severe Threat Warning from Windows Security. Opening the window, I see that it has quarantined the file "35215A6543E5B07CB13F076255254A20B3410FA8" in the Firefox profile \cache2\entries\ directory, which has the timestamp of the moment I opened the thread, and which has been classified as "Trojan:JS/Agent.AG!MSR" by Windows Security. I proceeded to run a quick scan, and found no further threats.

This is the first time that I have ever received such a notification, and I'm not sure just how to proceed. It is not my intention to raise a false alarm, but thought I should let you know, as you may wish to scan the forum database?

Got the notification of this post and immediately visited that "Repentance is of Necessity" thread using Win 10 and Opera browser. No warnings whatsoever for me. I then came back using Windows Edge browser thinking that I would get what you experienced, but nada.

1. It probably is one of those pesky "false positives" that anti-virus programs occasionally have.
2. And, even if it is a true threat, which effects Java Script which this board and many like it use in the base code, your security grabbed it. So, you are not at risk. Typically the JS/Agent variety affects things like the reply message box, expanding menus, etc., i.e., they don't work.

Sooooo, unless you experience some of those type of anomalies, I would ignore it. grin BUT if you do, send me a PM if possible or even an e-mail to let me know and I'll investigate.

Great. Thanks for the quick reply, and glad that no threat was found there. Following your response, I tried a couple test replies to that thread (without actually posting them), and didn't see any anomalies, but I'll certainly keep an eye on things.
