Did anyone read the recent World Magazine article on Doug Wilson? Seems to me the author failed to mention some of Wilson's bad theology. It did mentioned paedocommunion, Christian Nationalism, and post mill, but there are many others that he is wrong on.
Just wondering what some of you think about it? I need to go back to link the article.

read the article and noticed that indeed Wilson's and the CREC's main theological heresy being "Federal Vision" or one of its various deviants was indeed missing. Wilson often browbeats people into submission with his pseudo-intellectualism and domineering personality. Here, I and many others have given stern warnings to stay far away from Wilson and his ilk and the CREC.

What would be federal Vision then? Do a search here and/or on the website for any of the following terms: - Federal Vision
- NPP or New Perspective on Paul
- The Great Exchange
- N.T. Wright
That should provide you with days of reading.

Great! I have reqad quite a bit on the theology of NT Wrong, as he seems to be the darling of many even in Reformed and Baptist circles, even though he denies pretty much Pauline Justifcation as being the Psa view

The thing with Mr. Wilson is he says some really good things but then trips over his tongue and diminishes the good things he said. I’ve read on other forums about his antics, and things don’t look good for him, as he does not submit to authority.

Douglas Wilson is someone that I like to avoid. There are just too many things about him that make me wary of him.
There are some things however, that have bothered me, about some of peoples reactions to him.
I am reminded about something Tom Ascol said when someone was complaining about Doug Wilson. He responded the only thing I agree with Wilson on culture and is the way he reacts to what is happening in the world today. What was Tom Ascol referring to?
Both Tom Ascol and Doug Wilson are against things like Woke, WEF and promote some of the same books on the issue. Books such as were written by Voddie Baucham and a few others. Some of which I have read and really enjoyed.
The problem however, is many in the Reformed Community say everything about Wilson is wrong, even cultural things.
I did not ask them to explain themselves more, because of their reaction. I felt like asking them what their thoughts were on people like Tom Ascol and Voddie Baucham. However, I thought better of it.
As I said, I try to avoid Doug Wilson. However, when it comes to culture. I respect him more than I do ministries like TGC (The Gospel Coalition).

Here's the bottom line for me and the axiom I embrace across the board: One would be hard-pressed to find anyone in history who hasn't uttered some 'truth', whether it was "true truth" or something that the hearer/reader personally believed. But the majority of such individuals ideas are grossly contrary to God's TRUTH. Should that fact be the basis for promoting that person or especially spend time listening/reading that person's ideas? There are far too many men/women who by the grace of God have been given to know the TRUTH, albeit they are not infallible themselves, which one should spend time reading and or listening too if they are currently alive then wasting time on individuals who are enemies of God and are in fact servants of Evil to lure you away from the TRUTH. At this present time, Doug Wilson, N.T. Wright, Tim Keller, Billy Graham, Karl Barth, and a multitude of other popular and not so popular actors within the "christian" world should be avoided like the plague. Spend time reading the Puritans for a start and the great godly men and theologians, e.g., John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, John Owen, Robert Murray M'Cheyne, R.C. Sproul, Sr., John Gerstner, Charles Spurgeon, John Murray, J.C. Ryle, William Hendriksen, and a plethora of such men. A lifetime would not be sufficient to read all the really sound writings of such individuals and those akin to them. Why waste time with someone like Doug Wilson?

I agree, with you about Wilson as I indicated. I hope you understand what I said in my post.
